NAV Easy Security online training and setup

Mergetool.com conduct online training and setup sessions directly with customers of NAV Easy Security. The setup session is normally recorded and made available to the customer after the training for future references. After a setup session with Mergetool.com the customer can for a yearly fee and paid enhancement get access to the support forum. The support forum is used to ask questions and search in existing questions and answers.

Each training and setup session is a little different, but in general is the plan as below. The two parts can be done independent and in any order. Additional training in base NAV security can be required for customers

NAV Easy Security - Roles and Logins

1. Download required files and latest version of the Easy Security objects

2. Import Easy Security objects

3. Create new Company for Easy Security data

4. Run installation wizard for Roles and Logins

5. Adjust manual setting in Security Setup and Object Properties

6. Publish permissions

7. Create Demo data for Planned Roles

8. Setup another company for Recording Only

9. Create a new role by using recordings

10. Minimum Permissions Role

11. Testing Permissions

Expected time 3-4 hours

Field Level, Actions and Data Security

1. Download required files and latest version of the Easy Security objects

2. Import Easy Security objects

3. Create new Company for Easy Security data

4. Run Initial Source Code Analysis

5. Implement Field Level, Actions and Data Security for a few tables

6. Setup Field Level and Data Security to copy setup from another company

7. Adding additional tables or removing code changes

Expected time 2-3 hours.
